 Un station SWL nous fait par venir ses raport ecoute de la station RFO de la Guadeloupe sur 640khz 
 via le radio club de la Guadeloupe .
 Donc cela dit bien des chose car depuis 2008 nous avions eut pas mal de swl qui nous a signaler leur écoute

 Greetings from Finland!
 

 About a year ago I had a great pleasure of listening to “
 

  
 

 France Inter” -program on 640 kHz right here in
 Finland in the Northern Europe. I noticed several station announcements in French. The editor names
 
 
 Nicolas, Thomas and Agnes were also mentioned.
 
 
 As far as I know RFO Radio Guadeloupe is the only “France Inter” station on this particular frequency.
 
 
 Whilst I understand that your radio station is designed to serve your local Guadeloupe audience, I thought
 
 
 you might be interested to know how far and how well your station can be heard in other continents. My
 
 
 knowledge of the French language is very limited, so I have written this letter in English. Enclosed you will
 
 
 find my report of reception in French.
 
 
 I sent you this very same report already in February 2009 but I have not received your reply so far. Here
 
 
 comes my follow-up report. Perhaps my first letter has got lost in the international mail system? I hope you
 
 
 will receive my letter safely this time.
 
 
 RFO Guadeloupe 640 khz is really difficult catch here in Finland. There are several South and North
 
 
 American radio stations on the same frequency causing lots of interference. This time I noticed interference
 
 
 coming from CBN St.John’s, Canada and RCN Colombia both on 640 kHz. Your program “
 

  
 

 France Inter”
 consisted of news and information in French. If I want to hear RFO Guadeloupe in Finland I need an outdoor
 
 
 antenna and good receiver, also some luck and experience. I started this DXing listening hobby already in
 
 
 1979. I am also SWL with call OH8-826.
 
 
 I am a history teacher living in Paltamo, near the town of Kajaani in the Northeastern Finland. I am using my
 
 
 JRC NRD535 communications receiver for MW and SW listening. At home I use an outdoor antenna of 30-
 
 
 100 meters. My hometown, Paltamo has just 4000 inhabitants getting their living from forestry, saw mills,
 
 
 railroads, public and private services etc. The nearest town, Kajaani has some 36000 people. The distance
 
 
 between me and the capital of Finland, Helsinki is some 550 kms. I am living only about 100 kilometers west
 
 
 of the Russian border.
 
 
 I hope you could confirm my report of reception with your station QSL-verification reply, a card or a letter
 
 
 or an e-mail that I have in fact heard RFO Radio Guadeloupe on 640 kHz here in Finland, please. I would
 
 
 like to have your reply so that all my colleagues, friends and relatives can believe me that the reception is
 
 
 indeed possible. Thank you for your interest in persons like me who are trying to catch far away stations here
 
 
 in the North. All your time and trouble is highly appreciated. I am looking forward to your verification reply

 La force du signal recu ici en Finlande était mauvaise. Votre station n’est pas tres general
 ici en Finlande parce qu’il ya a plusieurs autres stations plus puissantes sur votre
 fréquence. L’interference a été causée par CBC radio CBN St. John’s, Newfoundland,
 Canada 640 kHz (10kW) et RCN Santa Marta, Colombia 640 kHz.
 J’ai écoute votre station á Muhos environ 550 kilometres au nord de Helsinki, la capital de
 Finlande. Les coordonnees geographique de ma station de reception sont 64.44”N et
 26.07”E. Ma situation géographique est dans le nord de Finlande.
 Je vous remercie de votre programme que j’ai capté ici en Finlande et je vous demande
 de bien vouloir me confimer (QSL) que la station auditée était réellement la votre. J’espere
 que ce rapport vous interesse aussi.
